Züblin developed a lasting presence in the People's Republic of China during the early 1970's. Initial accomplishments were in the fields of construction management for demanding civil engineering projects. Currently, Züblin maintains offices in Beijing and Shanghai, and is leading owner in the equity joint venture “Shanghai Changjiang-Züblin Construction and Engineering Co., Ltd.”, founded in 1993. In 1995 the Ministry of Construction certified Züblin as a Foreign Contractor in China, granting rights to contract projects all sizes throughout the country.

To provide more services to our customers, a project management company, Züblin Construction Consulting (shanghai) Co., Ltd., was established in Shanghai in 2003. In 2004, Shanghai Changjiang-Zueblin Construction & Engineering Co. is certified as Category II Contractor in Building, Industrial Plant, Horbour and Marine Engineering, Municipal Project, and Tunneling Project, as per new construction decree.

Züblin provides full service capabilities for the turnkey development of industrial and commercial buildings, including consulting, planning, permitting, design and engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and, if desired, facility management. Activities are carries out under ISO 9001 based quality management systems.
